Do you ship worldwide?
No we do not. We ship to: the United States; the UK; Canada; the member states of the EU (plus Norway, Lichtenstein and Switzerland); Australia & New Zealand; and China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan. If you back the campaign and want your Rewards delivered in a country that we do not ship to you will be responsible for securing freight forwarding at your expense.

Will you ship “EU Friendly”?
We will ship the products into Europe to our Depot with all customs and duties prepaid. You should receive your order without having to pay any additional fees to your local government customs office. If you normally receive Kickstarter Rewards without any monies due you should not owe anything when you receive the shipment from this campaign.

[Taxes] Is VAT included?
No. VAT will be assessed at checkout in the pledge manager.
We will ship to UK and EU+ addresses from Depots in those regions. If for some reason your locality requires you to pay a tax or fee beyond that paid when the products were imported into the UK or the EU to receive such shipments those costs must be paid by you. We cannot guarantee that there will be no such cost but we plan to use a shipment system similar to that used by most successful UK/EU friendly Kickstarters so if you have in the past received such packages without extra costs you should receive ours without those costs too.

Is GST/Sales Tax included?
You will see a GST or Sales Tax amount added to your order for shipments into Canada and into certain US states where AEG is obligated to pay sales tax. These taxes will be calculated and paid in the Pledge Manager.

[Tariffs] How will US import tariffs be calculated?
If you are having your order delivered to the United States (not Canada) you may be assessed a Tariff Surcharge in the pledge manager. It is possible that a 2nd surcharge will need to be assessed at the time of shipping if US policy has changed and the tariff due at that time is meaningfully higher than it was when you completed the original checkout of your order. Please see the Shipping section of the main campaign for more details.

What is your refund policy?
We offer a no-questions-asked refund policy. You can get a 100% refund within 10 days of the close of the campaign. Thereafter we can refund 92% of your pledge (a full refund minus the Kickstarter and payment processing fees we cannot recover). You can request a refund any time before your Reward is shipped.

[Pledge Manager] I'm using an Apple ID on Kickstarter. Is that a problem?
Yes, yes it is. The Apple ID you have provided Kickstarter can only be used by Kickstarter. Nobody else can send email to it. After the campaign you need to contact us and provide an email we can use to communicate with you.

If you back the campaign at the $5 Reward level the $5 will be credited to your order in the pledge manager; it’s a credit not a fee.

[Group / Club Buys] Do you offer shipping or product discounts for group orders?
We do not offer discounts for group orders or club buys. Shipping is based on the total weight of the order so the more you order the lower the per item shipping will be. Our Pledge Manager will allow you to add multiple copies of a Reward to your order as you wish and the shipping & handling and tax will be calculated at checkout.
We do not offer discounts to clubs or groups. If you are a qualified retail store you should join the Alpha Store program (alderac.com/alpha-store) and unlock the benefits for participation in that program!

If you use the same email on Kickstarter as you used to make your T Shirt order we’ll match that in the pledge manager and add a T Shirt to your order. You’ll be able to chose the size of the shirt in the pledge manager.

[Mystic Vale] Is this compatible with Mystic Vale?
No; this is an entirely new game. There are similar game rules but the components are not interchangeable. Mystic Vale and Edge of Darkness are set in the far future of the world of Mystic Lands.

[Retail Version] I would like more information on the retail version
The Retail Version of the game will be released after the crowdfunding rewards are fulfilled. Assuming a fulfillment for the campaign late in 2026, the retail version would be made available in the first part of 2027. Pricing for the retail version is not yet available but it will not be less than USD$50; the expansion will not be less than USD$25. The upgraded components, special player storage, natural rubber game boards, etc. will not be in the retail version.
The retail version will be translated into languages other than English but we don’t currently have a list of partners or regions where the game will be translated.

[Box Size & Storage] Will the Deluxe box fit all the components, even the Deck Vaults and rubber mats?
Yes! The box will be 325mm x 325mm x 80mm and it fits everything, The deck Vaults, the whole expansion, and even all the Rubber Mats!
It will fit on a Kallax just fine, and the card-crafting style dust cover will be very stylish and cool on display.

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
All images used in this project are subject to change and may represent unfinished or non-final art or design. All card counts are approximate and are subject to change. All card and component names are subject to change. All packaging is subject to change and is not finalized. Rules are subject to change.
AEG has been in the publishing business for more than 30 years. We are experienced at producing games in China and distributing them worldwide. Nonetheless, there are always risks associated with manufacturing and logistics. These problems can delay or otherwise impact our ability to meet our commitments to our backers.
These issues include (but are not limited to):
* Production delays
* Shipping delays
* Customs delays
The estimated delivery date is November 2026 but keep in mind this is only an estimate. Also, due to the logistics of international shipping, backers in different regions of the world may receive their rewards sooner than others.
We’ve done our best to minimize these risks as much as possible and we are always happy to refund pledges if for some totally unforeseen reason the game can’t be produced.
Refund Policy
The project may have a refund lockout period. If that policy is implemented it will be noticed to all backers via an Update and an email sent directly to them using the address provided in the campaign. During a refund lockout period orders will not be refundable. The determination to enter a refund lockout period will be at AEG's sole discretion.
Other than during a refund lockout period and before the Rewards are shipped, we will refund your money, no questions asked. Once we have shipped your Reward, our refund policy will depend on the circumstances and will be at our discretion. At your request, we can give you a full refund within 14 days of the campaign’s end, fees included. After that, we will subtract Kickstarter and payment processing fees (which we can’t get back from Kickstarter after 14 days). Those fees usually equal 8% of the total pledge.
Refunds will be processed through the platform where you paid them and will be applied to whatever payment method you provided to that platform. In the event that is impossible to process the refund, we will work with you to arrange a refund through PayPal.
This project is being funded in USD and any refunds processed will be in USD for the exact amount received in USD, excluding any applicable fees depending on the time of the refund being processed. AEG is not responsible for changes in the rate of foreign exchange.
Tariff Surcharge Policies
From time to time, and at its sole discretion, AEG may impose a Tariff Surcharge on orders. AEG takes this action only when it determines that the tariffs that the products will be subjected to will exceed 20% of the cost of manufacturing.
When a Tariff Surcharge is imposed, you will be notified, and you will be provided with instructions on how to pay the surcharge. Since each situation where this issue may arise is likely to be unique, AEG will determine, and notify you, what options you will have to pay the surcharge and what outcomes will result from payment and non-payment.
Terms and Conditions
By pledging to this project, you agree to conduct all public interactions via the platform’s communications channels with this project and our team and other backers in a positive manner. Harassment, name-calling, or attempts to inject inappropriate content into the public communications channels for the project will result in the cancellation of your pledge (with a full refund) and your ejection from the campaign.
We want the communications channels for this campaign to be a friendly, positive place for our community to gather and discuss the campaign, ask questions, and provide input.
AEG reserves the right to cancel any pledge (with a full refund) at any time, for any reason. If your pledge is canceled while the campaign is ongoing, you agree not to re-pledge either under your original account or under any other account you control.
Violations of this policy will be reported to the platform.
Minor cosmetic damage to the box or other packaging can occur during shipping. AEG makes reasonable efforts to ensure that the shipping containers it uses are suitable for the safe delivery of the Rewards. If you believe that your Reward has suffered more than minor cosmetic damage please contact us immediately. Keep all packaging, including outer cartons, for our inspection.
AEG will, at its sole discretion, determine if the damage constitutes other than minor cosmetic damage and/or was the result of insufficient packaging. Refunds or credits for damaged components will be issued at AEG's discretion.
If we ship to the address that you provided in our Pledge Manager and the package is returned to us as undeliverable your order will be considered to have been fulfilled and our obligation to you will be considered to have been met. If we ship the Reward to the address you provided in our Pledge Manager and the package is delivered to that address but you are unable to receive it, or you have moved and are no longer the occupant of that address and cannot otherwise retrieve the package your order will be considered to have been fulfilled and our obligation to you will be considered to have been met.
If the package is lost or stolen after delivery, AEG may, in its sole discretion, re-ship your order at AEG's cost. Please be prepared to attest that the package was delivered and has been lost or stolen. You may be required to file an affidavit with your local police department or make other filings with the carrier that delivered your order. You agree to take all reasonable actions necessary as directed by AEG.
In all cases, you acknowledge that quantities are limited and AEG may not be able to ship all or part of your order more than once.
If any part of your order cannot be fulfilled because of production issues, inventory issues, or AEG's notification by its carriers that your order cannot be accepted for delivery, AEG will provide you with a pro-rated refund for that portion of your order.
By pledging to this project, you acknowledge that the final look, materials, and content of the rewards (and the project) are subject to change and may differ substantially from what is presented while the project was active. If you do not log in to our Pledge Manager and confirm your pledge within 8 weeks of our notification via email to confirm your pledge, you agree that we have fulfilled our obligations to you. However, we may, at our discretion, refund or ship your Reward if you contact us and confirm your pledge after the 8-week window has elapsed.
You agree that our responsibility to you is to ship your order as entered into our Pledge Manager system, that title and risk passes to you upon delivery to a common carrier for such shipment, and you are responsible for: import duties or any other duties that may be payable to the relevant tax authorities; and providing correct address information and ensuring this address is deliverable by normal methods.
We regret we are unable to ship to PO Boxes.
